Window & Door Work in North Iowa

Exterior Openings Done Right

Windows and doors take a lot of wear over time, and a poor installation can cause problems that go well beyond the opening itself. At Wellik & Sons Construction, we approach each window and door project with attention to how the opening fits the surrounding structure. Proper installation affects how a home looks, how it holds up to Iowa weather, and how well the interior stays protected. We work on projects ranging from single replacement windows and doors to full sets of exterior openings as part of a broader remodel or construction job.

What We Work On

Windows, Entry Doors, and More

Our window and door work covers a range of residential needs. We install replacement windows when existing units are past their useful life, and we handle new window installations as part of remodeling or addition projects. On the door side, we work with entry doors, exterior passage doors, and related framing and trim. If your project involves coordinating window or door work alongside other construction or interior renovation, that broader scope is something we can accommodate as a general contractor.

Part of a Bigger Project

Window and Door Work Within a Full Renovation

Many homeowners find that window and door replacement comes up naturally during a larger remodel. When walls are open or siding is being updated, it often makes sense to address the openings at the same time. Wellik & Sons Construction can coordinate window and door installation alongside other work, including siding, interior remodeling, or general construction tasks, so that the project moves forward without unnecessary gaps or repeat visits.

Window & Door Installation FAQs

Common Questions About Our Window and Door Work

  • Do you install both windows and doors, or just one or the other?

Wellik & Sons Construction works on both windows and doors. That includes replacement windows, new window installations as part of a remodel or addition, and exterior doors. If your project involves a combination of window and door work, or if those tasks are part of a larger construction or renovation project, we can handle the full scope rather than requiring separate contractors for each opening.

  • What areas do you serve for window and door installation?

We are based in Garner, IA and serve homeowners throughout the surrounding area. Our service area includes Clear Lake, Ventura, Britt, Cerro Gordo County, and Hancock County.

  • Can window or door work be combined with a siding or remodeling project?

Yes. Window and door installation often makes practical sense as part of a broader project. When siding is being replaced or walls are already open during a remodel, addressing the exterior openings at the same time can save time and reduce disruption. As a general contractor, Wellik & Sons Construction can coordinate window and door work alongside siding installation, drywall and finish carpentry, and other construction tasks on the same job.

  • How does the estimate process work for a window or door project?

Free estimates are available for window and door installation projects. Each project is discussed individually because the number of openings, the condition of the surrounding areas, and any related construction work affect the scope. Wellik & Sons Construction can review those details with you before work begins.

  • Does Wellik & Sons Construction work on new construction as well as replacement projects?

Yes. Beyond replacement work on existing homes, Wellik & Sons Construction also handles window and door installation as part of new construction and larger general contracting projects. The business has experience with both residential remodeling and broader construction work, so whether you are updating an older home or building something new, window and door installation can be included in the project scope.
